Aage V. Jensen, a Danish master carpenter, established Aage V. Jensen Foundations. He was deeply interested in nature and in wild animals and birds. Therefore, the primary objective of all the foundations is and will always be nature conservation and wildlife protection.

Aage Villiam Jensen was born on 17. November 1911 in Denmark, where his parents had a small farm. After leaving school, he was apprenticed to a local master carpenter.
As a journeyman he travelled and worked in Germany, Italy and Switzerland, where he found a beautiful small valley, which made an unforgettable impression on him.

Aage V. Jensen was an unobtrusive and modest man. When he retired from the day-to-day running of his company in 1969 he moved to the Swiss valley, which had made such an impression on him as a young man. He spent his last years painting and travelling – often to places, which offered an interesting natural environment. Aage V. Jensen died on 10 May 1986 in his home in Switzerland.
